Research Interests

  • I am interested in the species-level evolution of diatoms investigated with as wide spectrum of data as possible (e.g., molecular, morphological, ecological, biogeographical, and reproductive). My results contribute to the knowledge of speciation, cryptic species diversity, phylogeny, DNA barcoding, and systematics of diatoms. Marginally, they extend to a theoretical biology (theory of speciation and species concepts). The title of my doctoral thesis is A Polyphasic Approach to the Study of Diatom Diversity.

Doctoral Thesis

  • Polyphasic approach in study of diatom diversity
